The word around Internet Lane is that GoDaddy is a great choice for Hosting, and well, I have to agree. I have yet to run into any major problems with them and I have had two different hosting packages with a number of domains.

The biggest problem that I have encountered with them is advertising clutter. Their homepage is a nest of advertisements trying to sell you everything in a hand basket. My first encounter with them years ago was a bit frightening. I wanted to order my first domain name, and being an amateur to hosting I was nervous if I was taking the right path. After finally finding the “Register Domains” button , I proceeded into what seemed like a live action infomercial. It took a few clicks of the “No Thank You, Proceed to Checkout” button to get past what seemed like an endless river of more products that I am supposed to love. However, once my account was active, my domain was registered and my hosting setup I was good to go, and have been ever since.

Customer support is great and their email support is very responsive and helpful. I have also had much experience with www.1and1.com.. and I would not recommend them to my worst enemies. Their Tech support is based out of the Philippines and not helpful at all. If you can get off the phone with them without being rudely spoken to then I would consider yourself lucky.

So if your new to the webmaster thing, Go with Daddy.. oops, I mean.. Go with GoDaddy! I think you will find them to be exactly what your looking for.
